I DONT KNOW IF YOU GOT MY LAST COMMENT, BECAUSE I AM AN AMATER AT THIS. I AM SEEKING MY MATERNAL GGGRANDMOTHER WHOSE NAME WAS JULIET WHITAKER FROM TEXAS, WHO MARRIED JIM ALEXANDER. HER DAUGHTER, MARY,MY GG GRANDMOTHER BD HAS BEEN LISTED IN 1848, 1858 AND 1860, THEREFORE JULIET WOULD HAVE HAD TO BE OLD ENOUGH TO GIVE BIRTH TO HER. THE FAMILY ENDED UP IN MCCLENAN COUNTY, TEXAS. I WILL CONTINUE SEARCHING.

I have seen genealogy trees of my mother (Ransom) and father (Driver). I think it is thrilling to understand all of your history in proper context. We can truly say "we have come a long way." I am excited when I hear of more and more of us commpleting college, involved in social services and business. Outstanding job. We should be thankful for Uncle Paul's forsight.

Yes, tracing your family roots can be a lonely road sometimes . . . spending hours on end reviewing archives, documents, microfiche and conducting internet research. Having someone you can call on for information and inspiration is a great thing. Your words definitely project your love and admiration for her and her importance in your life.

May you continue to draw strength from her words of wisdom and wonderful memories.
